FAQs: an interview with a panel of Christian Science Practitioners from around the world

Recently, a group of high school and college students posed a series of questions to a panel of Christian Science Practitioners from around the world. We are still assembling the answers [and will post them here soon], but we thought you'd like to see the questions that were asked:

INTERVIEW QUESTIONS:

Q: What lead you to become a Christian Science Practitioner?

Q: How does a Christian Science Practitioner pray for someone?

Q: What do you mean by "Christian Science treatment"?

Q: How should I decide who to call? Do I need to call someone in my area?

Q: Do you work for people you do not know?

Q: Can I use email to talk with you?

Q: What is my role as the patient?

Q: Can I call to just ask questions about Christian Science?

Q: Are you willing to work with someone at my level of understanding of Christian Science? I don't feel I know enough to call a Christian Science Practitioner.

Q: I don't have much/any money, would you take into consideration that I am a High School or College student when figuring the fee for your service?

Q: Are my conversations with the Practitioner confidential? Do my parents need to know that the Practitioner is working for me?

Q: Can you help me with things other than physical problems?

Q: Are you willing to work with someone who isn't a Christian Scientist?

Q: I haven't been reading the Bible Lesson regularly, will you still work with me?

Q: How often should I contact you while you are working for me?

Q: I am under 20 years old, do I have to be attending a Christian Science Sunday School to call you?

Q: Do I have to tell you my problem or can I just ask you for help?

Q: Do I have to tell you if I have my healing?

Q: Can I call more than one practitioner at the same time?

Q: What does a person need to do to become a Christian Science Practitioner?
